Compu-Blend 2200
The Compu-Blend 2200 has been a real work horse in the field of automated batching.
With its inception in 1983, on-farm milling was never to be the same.
The Compu-Blend 2200 started a whole new world of automated batching systems,
and set the stage for several generations of Compu-Blend batching equipment.
The Compu-Blend 2200 was a panel-operated system with relatively few options
or printing capabilities by today's standards. It was state of the art
at the time it was first created, and brought with it a more convenient
and accurate way of batching feed.
There are a number of units still operating today.
The Compu-Blend 2200 was later enhanced with the option of controlling
the batch from a desk-top computer. Information from the batch was also saved
to the computer in a program called Compu-Store.
This DOS based program allowed the viewing, analysis and printing
of batch and accumulated ingredient usage. The basic unit with the Compu-Store
option was called the Compu-Blend 4000.
The Compu-Blend 2200 was built from 1983 to 1996.
On April 1, 2002, the Compu-Blend 2200 was officially retired from active support.
The old technology was replaced by the New Generation System
the Compu-Blend 5000.
Limited supplies of original parts are still in stock at Traders Tec-Systems Controls Ltd.
